The group was from Richmond, Virginia and recorded "Gotta Be A Reason" & "39 21 46" at Edgewood Studio in Washington, DC on March 5th, 1968. The group's 45 was released soon afterwards and failed to sell even on a local level. It's since become a highly sought after item for collectors of Northern Soul. This is NOT a reissue as it is an extended mix of "Gotta Be A Reason" (vocal & instrumental) from the 4 track tape by the original session's producer, Martin Gary. Sound is great and the 20 or so seconds that were not on the original release build the intensity to an even higher level. This pressing is limited to a one off of 275 copies. We will NOT issue it again. Only 250 are available for sale, the remaining 25 going to group members/affiliates.
